Does Tamadoggo support cats?
Yes — as of v1.1. Tamadoggo started dog-first, and cats now get the same warm journal: pick Cat at onboarding, choose from six feline personalities for the Crib, and keep the same timeline, AI insights, and monthly letters. Breed detection stays dog-only for now while we train it for cats.
What is a smart pet journal?
A smart pet journal keeps your pet's whole life in one place — walks, meals, weight, milestones and vet visits — and uses AI to surface patterns and reminders you'd otherwise miss. Tamadoggo does this for both dogs and cats, scans your vet documents into a searchable health record, and is free to start on iPhone.
How do I keep track of my pet's medical records?
Snap a photo of any vet receipt, invoice or vaccination record and Tamadoggo's AI lifts the diagnosis, vaccines, dosages and dates onto your pet's timeline — so the whole medical history is searchable in one place instead of scattered across paper and email. You can export it all as a PDF for a new vet anytime.
Can I track more than one pet?
Yes. Keep a separate journal for every dog and cat in the house, each with its own timeline, health record and reminders. The free plan covers one pet profile; Pro makes it unlimited — and you can invite family to help care for any of them.
Can I share my pet with my partner or family?
Yes. Invite anyone to co-keep a pet — your partner, the family, the sitter who has them for the weekend. You all share one journal: new walks, vet visits and photos appear for everyone, and you can see who added what. Inviting is free, and up to six people can care for one pet. If you're Pro, the people you share that pet with get its AI features too.
Can I take photos in the app?
Yes — when you add a moment you can snap a photo on the spot with the camera, or pick from your library (up to three per entry). Tap any photo to open it full screen and swipe between them.
How does the AI work, and is it private?
There's no chat interface and no prompts. The AI works passively in the background — it reads what you log and quietly surfaces patterns or extracts vet receipts into structured entries. It never grades your pet parenting, never sends alarming notifications, and never calls your companion 'your pet' — it uses their name.
What does the AI do with my data?
Only what it needs to give you a result, then it's done. To write your insights and monthly letter it reads your pet's timeline; to lift a vet receipt it reads that one document; for breed detection it reads the single photo you upload. That data is processed by our AI provider under a strict data-processing agreement, is never used to train AI models, and isn't kept after the request. No ads, no resale.
Does my subscription work on iOS too?
Yes. Whether you subscribe here or on the App Store, it's one entitlement — Pro on the web means Pro on iOS, and vice versa. The web price is lower (we don't pay Apple's cut), but the features are identical.
Is there an Android app?
Tamadoggo is on iPhone today, and Android is coming soon. Create a free account now and we'll let you know the moment it lands — your timeline will be waiting, since everything lives in the cloud, not on a single device.
What happens to my data if I cancel Pro?
Everything stays. Your timeline, photos, weight history, AI insights, monthly letters — all readable. Pro gating is on content generation, not reading. You just stop getting new AI summaries until you resubscribe.
Can I export my pet's timeline?
Pro users can export the entire timeline (or any range) as a beautifully formatted PDF — ideal for a new vet, a pet sitter, or just keeping. We don't lock you in.
Is my pet's data private?
Yours alone. Encrypted at rest in our database, never sold, never used to train ad targeting. The AI runs against your timeline to write your letters and insights — that's it.
