TodaySmart pet journal · dogs & cats

A living journal of your dog’s or cat’s life.

Log the walks, the naps and the vet visits in a few taps. Tamadoggo, the smart pet journal, keeps them as a story that reads like a book of months — and with Pro, a quiet AI files the vet paperwork, notices what you might have missed, and writes you a letter about Frankie once a month. No chatbot. Nothing to prompt.

  • Free to start, no card
  • No streaks, no guilt
  • iPhone and Android
Tamadoggo pet journal — the Crib, a cozy illustrated room where a pet's avatar sleeps and every object opens a part of the journal

The tour

Frankie’s story, all in one place.

A moment logged, a vet record scanned and checked, the months turned into a keepsake book — forty-four seconds, set to music.

What’s in the tour

  • One place for everything — The vaccination card, the vet receipts, the sticky notes and the thousands of photos stop living in different places and go into one journal.
  • The Crib — Your dog's or cat's own illustrated room, the home for their health records, photos, food history and milestones.
  • Logging a moment — Pick a category, add a photo and a few words, and save. The new entry lands on the timeline with the ink still wet.
  • Scanning a vet document (Pro) — Photograph a vet document and the AI reads it. You check the details it found, tap Save to timeline, and the visit lands as one entry, with its vaccines and weight saved alongside and booster reminders scheduled.
  • A timeline that reads like a book — Each month opens as a chapter, photos develop the first time you see them, and birthdays and milestones with a photo become polaroids.
  • The monthly letter (Pro) — Each month's letter arrives as a sealed envelope: a warm recap of the weeks you spent together, written to you.

This monthThe timeline

Every day goes on the timeline. Every month becomes a chapter.

A walk, a new food, a weigh-in, a funny face at the vet — it all goes on one timeline, and each month opens as its own chapter: the season it happened in, a line like “9 walks · 2 vet visits”, a mosaic of that month’s photos. Moments with a photo or a milestone become story cards; the everyday ones fold into a quiet line you can open with a tap. Scrolling back through Frankie’s year reads like a book.

HomeThe Crib

Every pet gets a room of their own.

The Crib is a cozy, illustrated room — a little Tamagotchi, a little keepsake box — and everything in Tamadoggo lives inside it. The medical bag keeps the health records, the scrapbook every photo, the envelope Frankie’s letters. When something is waiting for you, it glows. Pick who’s asleep on the bed from 16 personalities — 10 dogs and 6 cats — and they’ll be there every time you open the app.

The Floof asleep on the bed

The Floof · Tiny cloud, big feelings

Cats get everything dogs get: their own Crib, timeline, health records and weight charts. Breed detection from a photo is free, and dogs-only for now.

Last vet visitHealth records Pro scanning

Photograph the vet paperwork. It files itself.

Snap the receipt, the invoice or the vaccination card — or upload the PDF — and the AI lifts out the visit, the vet, the vaccines, the medication and the dates. You check it, fix anything it misread, and it lands on Frankie’s timeline with the original kept safely beside it. If a page can’t be read, the same fields are there to fill in by hand.

Keeping vaccinations, medications and weight by hand is free. Scanning, PDF attachments and PDF export are Pro — and medical photos added on Pro are kept in private storage.

  1. Scanning a vet document in Tamadoggo: scan with the camera, pick from the gallery, or upload a PDF

    Snap it

Photograph the receipt, the invoice or the vaccination card — the camera crops and straightens the page for you. Photos from your library and PDFs work too.

  2. Reviewing a scanned vet record in Tamadoggo: the AI extracted the visit title, date, veterinarian and clinic, ready to edit and save to the timeline

    Check it

Everything the AI found is laid out to review before it’s saved — the visit, the vet, the clinic, the date, the vaccines. Paperwork in another language keeps its drug and clinic names exactly as printed.

  3. The Tamadoggo Health Hub: vaccinations, active medications and the scanned health documents for one pet

    Find it again

It lands on the timeline, and the Health Hub keeps vaccinations, medications and the original documents together, grouped by visit — ready to export as a PDF for a new vet.

Last weekAI insights Pro

No chatbot. Just someone paying attention.

There’s nothing to ask and nothing to prompt. The AI reads along with Frankie’s timeline and, when it notices something, says so gently: a pattern in the walks, a change after a new food, something worth mentioning at the next check-up. Awareness, never diagnosis — it never scores you, and it never sends an alarm.

Eight weeks of Frankie’s days. The pattern the AI noticed: every Tuesday, a long walk.
  • Just something nice to know

    Frankie’s Tuesday walks run longer.

Across eight weeks of walks, Tuesdays average twelve minutes more than any other day. Whatever happens on Tuesdays, she approves.

  • Worth keeping an eye on

    Two weeks of slower mornings.

She’s been up about twenty minutes later than usual. She did the same last November, when the weather turned. Just noting it.

  • Worth a mention at the vet

    A little more ear-scratching lately.

Logged in four of the last fourteen entries — more than last month. Nothing alarming; worth bringing up at Friday’s check-up.

On the 1stThe monthly letter Pro

Once a month, a letter about Carra.

On the first of every month, Tamadoggo writes you a letter about the month you just shared: the adventures, the lazy Sundays, the vet visit, the thing she did on the 28th that made you laugh. Not a report — more love letter than analytics. It opens each finished chapter of her timeline, waiting at the top of the month it remembers.

Letters, insights and scan summaries can be written in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch or Romanian.

A Tamadoggo monthly letter: “Dear Friend of Carra — April was a month of discovery, a few tender moments, and one important health turn,” followed by a warm recap of the month

Things you might be wondering

Questions, gently answered.

Does Tamadoggo support cats?

Yes. Cats get everything dogs do: pick Cat when you add a pet, choose from six feline personalities for the Crib, and keep the same timeline, health records and weight charts — plus, with Pro, the AI insights and monthly letters. Breed detection from a photo is dog-only for now.

What is a smart pet journal?

A smart pet journal keeps your pet's whole life in one place — walks, meals, weight, milestones and vet visits — and, with Pro, uses AI to surface patterns and reminders you'd otherwise miss and to scan your vet documents into the health record. Tamadoggo does this for both dogs and cats, and is free to start on iPhone and Android.

How do I keep track of my pet's medical records?

Vaccinations, medications and weight can be kept by hand on the free plan. With Pro, snap a photo of any vet receipt, invoice or vaccination record — or upload the PDF — and Tamadoggo's AI lifts the visit, vet, vaccines, dosages and dates onto your pet's timeline, with the original document kept alongside, so the whole medical history lives in one place instead of scattered across paper and email. Pro can also export it all as a PDF for a new vet.

Can I track more than one pet?

Yes. Keep a separate journal for every dog and cat in the house, each with its own timeline, health record and reminders. The free plan covers one pet profile; Pro makes it unlimited and adds multi-pet moments — log a walk once, tag the others, and it lands in each pet's journal. You can invite family to help care for any of them.

Can I share my pet with my partner or family?

Yes. Invite anyone to co-keep a pet — your partner, the family, the sitter who has them for the weekend. You all share one journal: new walks, vet visits and photos appear for everyone, and you can see who added what. Inviting is free, and up to six people can care for one pet. When the pet's owner is on Pro, everyone sharing it gets the AI features too.

Can I take photos in the app?

Yes — when you add a moment you can snap a photo on the spot with the camera, or pick from your library: up to three per entry, or twenty with Pro. Tap any photo to open it full screen, swipe between them, and pinch or double-tap to zoom.

How does the AI work, and is it private?

There's no chat interface and no prompts. The AI — part of Pro — works passively in the background: it reads what you log and quietly surfaces patterns or extracts vet receipts into structured entries. It never grades your pet parenting, never sends alarming notifications, and never calls your companion 'your pet' — it uses their name.

What does the AI do with my data?

Only what it needs to give you a result, then it's done. To write your insights and monthly letter it reads your pet's timeline; to lift a vet receipt it reads that one document; for breed detection it reads the single photo you upload. That data is processed by Anthropic under a strict data-processing agreement, is never used to train AI models, and isn't kept after the request. No ads, no resale.

How much does Tamadoggo cost?

Tamadoggo is free to start, forever — one pet profile, unlimited timeline entries, photos, weight charts, manual reminders and family sharing, with no credit card and no trial clock. Pro is $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year (about $3.33 a month, 33% off) when you subscribe on tamadoggo.com. On the App Store and Google Play it's $5.99 a month or $44.99 a year — the web price is lower because we don't pay the app stores' cut. Web, iOS and Android share one entitlement: subscribe once, Pro everywhere.

Is there a web app, or is Tamadoggo mobile only?

The journal itself is the mobile app, on iPhone and on Android — that's where you log moments, scan vet documents, and read your monthly letter. tamadoggo.com is for your account, your subscription and the Field Notes library, not for keeping the journal. Everything lives in the cloud, so the same timeline is waiting whichever phone you pick up.

Does my subscription work on iOS and Android too?

Yes. Whether you subscribe here, on the App Store or on Google Play, it's one entitlement — subscribing on the web unlocks Pro inside both mobile apps, and a subscription bought in either app unlocks Pro here. The web price is lower (we don't pay the app stores' cut), but the features are identical.

Does Tamadoggo have a chatbot?

No. There's no chat interface and no prompts to write — that's a deliberate design choice, not a missing feature. With Pro, the AI works passively in the background: it reads what you log, scans your vet documents into structured entries, surfaces patterns you'd miss, and writes your monthly letter. You never have to ask it anything.

Is there an Android app?

Yes — Tamadoggo is on Google Play, and it's the same journal, not a cut-down port: the illustrated Crib, the timeline, photos, weight charts and, with Pro, vet-document scanning, AI insights and the monthly letter all work exactly as they do on iPhone. It's free to start on Android too — one pet profile, unlimited entries, family sharing, no credit card. And it's one account across everything: sign in on your Android phone and your pets, photos and history are already waiting, because it all lives in the cloud, not on a single device. Web, iOS and Android share one entitlement: subscribe once, Pro everywhere.

What happens to my data if I cancel Pro?

Everything stays. Your timeline, photos, weight history, AI insights, monthly letters — all readable. Pro only adds new AI writing; it never takes away what’s already there. You just stop getting new AI summaries until you resubscribe.

Can I export my pet's timeline?

With Pro, you can export the timeline as a beautifully formatted PDF — all of it, or the last 30 days, 6 or 12 months; the full journal or just the medical record. Made for a new vet, a pet sitter, or simply keeping.

Is my pet's data private?

Yours alone. Your pet's journal is stored in the EU, and row-level security means only you and the people you've shared a pet with can open it in the app. Processing is GDPR-based — Supabase (EU) for storage, Anthropic (US, under Standard Contractual Clauses) for the Pro AI features, which never train on your data and never keep it after the request. Never sold, never used for ad targeting. The privacy policy has the details, including how photos are stored.

What happens to the journal if my pet dies?

It stays. You can mark a dog or cat as passed away, or as gone to live somewhere new, and nothing is deleted — their journal, photos and records stay exactly as they are, yours to read and to keep adding to. Reminders and automatic insights stop, and they no longer count toward your pet limit, so you can begin another story without giving this one up.

Can the AI write in my language?

Yes, with Pro. Choose from eight — English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch and Romanian — and the weekly insights, monthly letters and scanned-document summaries are written in it. For a shared pet the owner’s choice applies, since everyone reads the same letter. The rest of the app, and notifications, are in English for now.

Will Tamadoggo remind me about vaccines and vet visits?

Yes. Reminders you set yourself are free, on any rhythm — every 3 days, every 6 weeks, monthly, yearly — and a repeating one moves itself to its next date once the day has passed. With Pro you also get smart reminders that take your pet’s breed and age into account.

What if I forget to log for a few weeks?

Welcome back. No streaks, no shame — if things go quiet, the most you’ll get is a gentle hello. Tamadoggo serves you, not the other way around. Open the app whenever; your timeline is waiting.
